The artist molded out dirt block for display in the gallery. There where several dirt blocks were grouped up and arranged into a pattern and there was one huge chunk sitting in front of the entrance. However, this tiny block caught my attention because of its simplicity. It just sat isolated on what seems to be a plank of some sort and when i looked closer, it had a small gold piece in the middle. I Tricia Rangel how the tiny block was made and what the gold link symbolized and she replied, “The tiny block was molded with melamine and plywood. The gold link symbolizes the plot of land.” According to her, she worked on some of the artwork since last summer, another from last semester, and one last friday.
