This week I selected this artist because this picture looked like it had pierced several times or shot through by a bb gun. What is also interesting is that all the other photos displayed in the gallery are also black and white. It all seemed like a collection of classified military files.
In Mark Lewis’ description of the gallery he mentions, “there’s a meeting point; a pinpoint in the landscape where the wild becomes a buffer zone and the establishment stops caring.” This probably explains why the photos I saw looked like they were mostly taken in the woods.
Overall, I thought that the gallery was pretty interesting. If you want to check out any of his other pictures check out mikelewisart.com
